Work Output: Clients and accounts

Objective. View output grouped by client or account for a period and read volume in the context of each client's work mix and value - not as a ranking of account importance.

This screen answers 'how is completed work distributed across clients, and is each account getting the work it is paying for?' For a BPO or RCM operation serving many clients, it ties output to the account, which is where SLAs and renewals live.

What this screen answers

Sales and CSMs open Clients and accounts to connect output to the commercial relationship: which accounts are being delivered to, and where output is slipping against what a client expects. In multi-client operations this is the screen that maps completed work to the account that renews, so it frames retention and expansion conversations.

The task

Scope to the period and read each client's output alongside its work mix and standard, not just its total. Spot the account whose output is diverging from expectation and carry it to backlog and SLA or quality. For a CSM, confirm which client each unit is attributed to and whether the account's completion definition matches the contract, since mis-attribution distorts an account-level story quickly.

How to read it

A client's output volume is a function of its work mix and complexity, not a measure of the account's value or health. The classic misread is equating higher volume with a more important or better-served account - a lower-volume client may carry higher-complexity, higher-value work. Read volume with complexity and quality context, and compare a client to its own trend and standard, not to other clients with different work.

Honest limits

This screen does not prove the account-level figures reconcile to the customer's own SLA or billing view, nor that every account's work is fully counted and correctly attributed. It is seeded demo data. Confirm attribution logic, per-account completion definitions and how this maps to the customer's contracted SLAs with product before using any client figure in a review or renewal.

Interpretation check

A client's output volume reflects its work mix and complexity, not the account's value or health; never rank accounts by raw volume, and confirm attribution before using any client figure commercially.

Practical task

Pick a period, find the account whose output diverges from its own trend, and write a one-line finding noting what you would confirm about attribution and the client's SLA before raising it.

Self-check

A low-volume client shows the smallest output. Is it the least important account?

No - volume reflects work mix, not value. A low-volume client may carry high-complexity, high-value work. Read volume with complexity and quality context, not as an account ranking.

Why check attribution before an account-level story?

Mis-attributed units distort a client's apparent output fast. If completed work is assigned to the wrong account, both the strong and the weak account story are wrong.

What do you compare a client against?

Its own trend and standard, and the customer's own SLA view - not other clients with different work mixes.
